Have you heard of this one? Mitt Romney went to campaign in pennsylvania and at one campaign stop he didn’t like the cookies offered to him and said this
“I’m not sure about these cookies. Did you make those cookies? You didn’t, did you? No. No. They came from the local 7-Eleven bakery or wherever.”
This is being dubbed ‘cookie gate’ because somehow, a person’s tastebuds are a matter of elitism and disgrace. Somehow, he was supposed to eat shitty cookies, praise the baker and be as dishonest to the people as Obama has been about almost everything.
Or does he? I don’t think this one is about cookies. I think this is the proof that after Obama’s campaign found that ‘Obama eating dog’ story was really hard for them to defend, they reached out to their partnersin media and handed them a story that was –
i) about food like Obama’s
ii) about making him sound elitist because somehow having good taste is being ‘out of touch’
iii) about making sure eating dog stories dies down as quickly as it can
My proof for the fact that it is Obama’s invention played out by the media? Just look at the timeline – Romney’s campaign event was posted at local TV station’s website at 8:26 am on April 17th. Nothing was reported on it for the whole day on 17th. Obama ate dog story didn’t become popular until the late afternoon of 17th. What happens on 18th? Romney is the one ‘out of touch’ cookie man because he didn’t like some cookies. No mention of the guy who liked eating dogs.
